Changing the world forever for better

Each of my crew is captain
of ships of their own —
& I am a member of many crews —
some of which they’re captains of —

but mostly, I’m a stranger
with needs to be comprehended
& skills I’ll need, to adapt.

Idealogues imagine
their planet’s mantle is firmer than mine —
landlords & their vassals & renters —
mandarins & beneficiaries —
shareholders of conquest —
China, Russia, the USA —
auras not recently penetrated.
